These terms govern your use of But Noted, including the Mac app, the web app, the bn CLI, the MCP server and the live demo on this website. But Noted is provided by But Beautiful ("we"). By using But Noted you agree to these terms.

Your account

You need an account to sync, transcribe and use the Agent. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can open your sign-in links can use your But Noted account. You are responsible for activity in your account, including actions taken by agents and apps you connect.

Your content

You own what you put into But Noted. You let us store, process, transmit and display it only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy when you use transcription or the Agent. Pages and meetings you make accessible to anyone with the link, existing shared notes and published HTML artifacts can be read by anyone with their links. Sharing a meeting while recording also shares its transcript and the translation you turned on as they update, without the original audio.

Acceptable use

Do not use But Noted to break the law, infringe the rights of others, record people without the consent the law requires, send malware or spam, attack or overload the service, or get around usage limits. When you record a meeting, you are responsible for telling participants and for having the right to record.

AI features

AI output can be wrong. Check it before you rely on it. You choose the model for the built-in Agent, and every turn shows its model, tokens and cost.

Credits and billing

AI usage is charged against your credits at the provider’s price times the multiplier shown in the app, or billed by the provider when a key you or your Space registered is used. Credits have no cash value and are forfeited when you delete your account. Every plan includes every feature; plans differ in storage.

The live demo

The demo runs in your browser and creates a temporary account only when you start writing a message to its Agent, pick a suggested message, or ask the Agent to act (such as writing meeting notes). About 1 hour after the account is created, we delete the account and its content; the Privacy Policy lists the records that remain. Demo usage is limited, and the demo Agent may be unavailable at times. Do not enter personal information in the demo.

Availability and changes

We work to keep But Noted available, but to the extent the law allows we provide it "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for lost data, profits or revenue, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using But Noted and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
